Fronting the San Francisco Bay in Larkspur, Marin County, on a site consisting of compacted fill the house is built on a series of concrete and steel piers that support the house on a dock-like structure 24” above the ground surface. The entire house is designed using environmentally friendly building materials and both passive and active solar heating systems.
