The client's request for a garage and additional bedrooms for their children began as an attached addition. However, the fan shaped lot and budget concerns led to the design of a completely separate structure with a second story connection through a bridge between the two structures. The addition was carefully developed to fit in with the existing structure while the bridge is the contemporary connection between the two.
